The MANNING WINTER FESTIVAL exists to raise the profile of the arts, which visual arts, sculpture, music, dance, drama, poetry and more.
Our aims are to :
•Raise the profile of the arts the area and in the wider community.
• Promote the Manning Valley in the middle of the year as a desirable tourist destination.
• Promote Taree as a dynamic, artistic place to live and visit.
• Promote the work of local artists, performers and groups.
• Develop new audiences, venues and performers.
• Celebrate patrons and promote sponsors.
• Build strategic partnerships at the local level.
• Involve local businesses and organisations.
• Create more coherence and strength by encouraging communication between existing arts organisations.
• Attract quality touring performers.
•Encourage indigenous and arts from other cultures present in the area.
The Manning winter Festival administers the Visual and Performing Arts Awards which celebrates the outstanding contributions of individuals and groups throughout the Manning Valley Winners will be announced at the 2012 Manning Winter Festival. Special guests will include Katie Hardyman (composer/pianist) and Michael Bardon (cellist) Don't miss seeing who wins this for 2012! 6.15pm Manning Regional Art Gallery $10 at the door.
